Mike joins Aldea with demonstrated success in both the sales and operating functions of a business startup.  Before earning his MBA at the Acton School of Business in Austin, Texas, Mike worked with a boutique management consulting firm in San Francisco. An entrepreneur at his core, Mike is challenged by the task of taking Aldea Artisans from the launch phase of the business life cycle to the growth phase. After visiting 20 countries, Mike has seen business create problems for one country's poor and he has seen business solve problems for another country's poor. Mike's commitment to Aldea Artisans’ customers and constituents is to employ all his resources to employ as many artisans as he can.

Mike and his beautiful wife Christin were married in 2005 and have an adorable daughter Salem, who was born in late 2009.
